Yes, many are made with removable-adhesive films designed to come off cleanly. Removal results also depend on the paint quality and wall condition, so we recommend the right film for how long you plan to keep the graphic.
Sometimes you want your wall graphic to not be removable. For example, in public space you do not want people to be able to remove the graphic; in day care, you do not want kids to rip some pieces and swallow them. For this type of request we have the solution of non-removable vinyl
Premium films applied to a properly prepared, fully cured painted wall are designed to be removed without damage within the first few years. Low-quality paint, fresh paint, or poorly primed walls can be affected, so we inspect every surface first.
A smooth, clean, primed, and fully cured painted wall gives the best results. In its Instruction Bulletin 5.37, 3M recommends smooth, properly primed, painted, and cured wallboard with little or no surface variation. We confirm wall readiness before installation. Plan at least 7 days between painting and vinyl installation.
Yes. Specialty textured wall films are designed to conform to brick, block, and other rough surfaces, indoors and outdoors, using specific installation techniques.
Yes. Exterior applications use weather-resistant films and laminates designed for outdoor exposure on masonry, block and other building surfaces.
Durability depends on the film, the surface, sun exposure and foot traffic. Interior graphics in low-wear areas generally last longer than exterior or high-traffic applications. We’ll recommend the right film for your goals.
Yes. We remove existing graphics carefully to protect the wall, clean up any remaining adhesive, and install your new design, but the wall may need repair and repainting.
